Since the time of its inception, wallpapers have come a long way and with every passing day, it is gaining popularity because of its easy-to-use features and the appealing looks that it imparts when pasted on the interior walls of our house of the office. Wallpapers are designs printed on large sheets of paper, cloth and similar fabric and often have adhesives on the other side. This allows the installation process to be conducted with ease. These are required to be pasted on walls, and there you receive beautiful looking walls for yourself.
Painting over wallpaper is a subject that is taboo amongst many in the professional painting industry, however if your wallpaper meets certain criteria you can paint over wallpaper with little or no problems. The first thing that you will need to do is determine if the wallpaper is in good enough condition to paint over. By this, I mean that you must check for any loose seams, rips or tears in your wallpaper. If you have any loose seams they must be glued prior to painting. If you have numerous rips or tears, then you will be well advised to go ahead and remove the wallpaper instead of trying to paint over it.
If the wallpaper doesn't peel away when applying a moderate pressure, than re-apply the steamer again and even a third time as the old adhesive behind the wallpaper can be quite hard and brittle.
