The first one I can think of stems from what Ive been talking about: Wrapping paper. Theres no reason that the leftover wallpaper you have cant be used this upcoming holiday season for wrapping the presents (This applies to upcoming birthdays as well, obviously). Wallpaper is actually ideal for heavier gifts, or gifts that have sharp edges that have the potential to rip the wrapping. This is because wallpaper is harder than typical wrapping paper.
Next, apply the wallpaper adhesive to the back of your patch and place it in the area which you have already cut out. If you are using pre pasted wallpaper, dip it in water and then place it over the the prepared opening. Again, be sure that the pattern lines up with the surrounding wallpaper. Smooth the patch out using a ruler removing any bubbles that may form.
As a professional contractor one of the questions that I am asked the most is "What is the best way to remove wallpaper?" This is a project that can be very daunting for many homeowners. In this article I will go over what I believe is the best and most efficient way to remove wallpaper.
